Justice A.Arumughaswamy Commission probing into the circumstances that led to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s unfortunate demise has sought an extension of six months to complete its probe. The three month tenure expires on December 24th.
So far only 6 of the 60 people have been investigated. The government has received the request and it is under consideration. Most probably the extension sought would be granted as the government was very keen in bringing out the truth regarding Jaya”s death. Already some people have been examined by the Commission. Those examined include DMK’s Saravanan, Madhavan, Deepa Jayakumar and her husband and P.Balaji. The Commission also seeks to examine CCTV footage in Apollo hospital and Poes Garden.
