Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas announced the Oscar nominations on Monday. An Australian journalist named Peter Ford, questioned if she and her husband were qualified enough to announce the Oscar nominations. In a snarky tweet, he wrote, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees. Replying to his question, Priyanka, who is an actor cum producer from India and also has a vibrant career in Hollywood responded on social media “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration.” She added the list of her credits to her tweet.
After Priyanka’s tweet, Peter Ford locked his account. Priyanka’s fans called her the ‘queen’ and applauded her response. They asked her not to pay attention to naysayers.
Earlier in an interview, she stated that she is just like anyone else and while driving or having her cup of coffee, she flips through Twitter, Instagram or the news and when her name pops up, she gets curious to know what people are saying but she does not react to it or let it affect her mental well-being.
