Prabha Khaitan Foundation presents their first Kalam series in Chennai, a virtual session with Yatindra Mishra the celebrated Hindi poet, editor, music, and cinema scholar in conversation with Riddhima Doshi, Ehsaas Women of Udaipur. Yatindra Mishra is a celebrated Hindi Poet, Music, and Cinema Scholar. He has four collections of Hindi poetry, several well-received books on Indian Classical Music & Cinema, and some translations. His book ‘Lata: Sur-Gatha’ won a total of seven awards in 2017 including the prestigious 64th National Film Award for Best Writing on Cinema (Swarna Kamal) and the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival Award for Best Writing on Cinema, Mumbai, 2016-17. His book Akhtari: Soz Aur Saaz Ka Afsana based on the Life, Times and Music of Akhtari Bai Faizabadi aka Begum Akhtar was well received on its initial release in Hindi. Its English translation Akhtari the Life and Music of Begum Akhtar has been published, gaining momentum and media presence in the English literary circles. He is currently working on a book on eminent Lyricist, Poet, and Filmmaker Gulzar Saheb.
