Second Season of Poetry Installation at Durbar Hall Gallery, Kochi on June 9th
Poetry Installation amalgamates Poems with sound and sculpture in 3 dimensions. This unique form of art was conceived by writer and director Vinod Krishna and renowned sound designer Renganaath Ravee , which is the first of its kind in the history of art. The poems of world famous Tibetan revolutionary poet Tenzin Tsundue, famous lyricist and poet Rafeeq Ahamed, Cini Mathew John, a scientist & poetess and Ajeesh Dasan, a writer/poet have clear political perspectives. These poems captivate the political insecurity and oppression experienced by exiles, anxieties of the female gender in black and white, patriotic delusions and battle against injustice evaded from their lives.
Famous Actor/Director/Writer Joy Mathew has given the sound for Tenzin Tsundue’s poem. Raveendaranath Pandinjarayil is the founder of this venture, who has extended financial support to this dream project. Art’s credits go to Sharon Philip and the Installation has been made using metal, fibre etc. Poetry installation is the group effort of a band of friends. The exhibition starts on 9th June at Durbar Hall Art Gallery, Kochi.
