Starting from March 1st 2021, the vaccine is open to senior citizens
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his first dose of vaccination, Covaxin developed by Bharat biotech International Limited at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi. He urged people who are eligible to get the vaccine to take it. Starting from March 1st 2021, senior citizens and people in the age group of 45-59 with comorbidities are eligible to take the vaccine. They can register for the same on the CoWIN app or they can walk in to a vaccination centre and get their registration done. The vaccine is available free of cost at Government hospitals.
