PM Narendra Modi met and congratulated the scientists of ISRO for the historic Chandrayaan-3 Moon mission. He visited ISRO this morning, after attending the BRICS summit in South Africa and a maiden visit to Greece.
The Prime Minister was received at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru by ISRO Chief S Somanath and other scientists.
PM Modi told the scientists at ISRO that their achievements have made the entire world take note of India’s development in the field of science and technology.
Conspicuous by their absence were Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Governor Thawarchand Gehlot. The PM said that he requested the Karnataka leaders not to take the trouble to wake up very early in the morning to receive him as he was not sure as to at what time he would reach Bengaluru.
