The ministers took oath at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram
At a grand function at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Pinarayi Vijayan’s team of Ministers took oath on Thursday. With number restrictions due to the pandemic, the function was attended by around 500 people. The new Kerala cabinet includes 21 ministers and they are Muhammad Riyas, who is Pinarayi Vijayan’s son in law and the National President of the DYFI. He is to handle two portfolios PWD and Tourism.
While MV Govindan will handle Excise, K Radhakrishnan will be in charge of Temple administration and SC/ST , Saji Cheriyan will handle Fisheries and cultural affairs, KN Balagopal will be Finance Minister, P Rajeev is to handle Industries portfolio and VN Vasavan will be cooperation and Registration Minister. V Sivankutty is in charge of General Education and Labour, Dr R Bindhu will handle higher education, Veena George is to handle Health, Women, Child welfare and social justice, Chinchu Rani will be in charge of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development while Abdul Rahman will be Minority Affairs Minister. P Prasad willl handle Agriculture, K Krishnankutty is to handle Power ministry, Antony Raju will be in charge of Transport, A K Saseedaran will be Forest Minister, Ahmed Devarkovil in charge of Port and Archeology Minister. K Rajan will handle Revenue while Roshi Augustine will be in charge of Water and G R Anil will handle Civil Supplies.
