The Parole plea of Sasikala has been rejected by the prison authorities citing inadequacies in the application. She had applied for a parole for 15 days to visit her ailing husband in hospital. She had submitted the certificates issued by the doctors treating her husband and other relevant documents along with the parole application. However the prison authorities found that certain important documents were not submitted and rejected the application. She will have to file a fresh application.
As per procedure,parole is granted based on the conduct of the inmate. This is essential because the police have to verify if the person applying for parole would create any law and order problem or if there is any threat to the persons life by any rivals. The prison authorities have asked the Tamilnadu police for a report on the matter and it is said that it would take a few days to get the report.
