After Jack Dorsey resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer at Twitter, 37 year old Parag Agrawal took over the post. He was the Chief Technology Officer before this.
Parag is an alumnus of IIT Mumbai and Stanford University and is the newest member in a growing club of Indians who hold top most posts at global tech companies. He joined Twitter in 2011. He did his bachelors in engineering and computer science in IIT Mumbai and moved to the US for further studies. He got his doctorate from Stanford University.
Parag is considered to be one of the top engineers within Twitter. He will be given an annual compensation of $1 million as well as stock compensation worth $12.5 million.
He was born in Mumbai. His mother is a retired school teacher while his father held senior positions in the atomic energy sector.
