The cases among children were reported in Bengaluru
Even as schools begin to open in various states across the country, experts believe that the third wave has already started. Over two hundred children tested positive for Corona in last five days in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The state has already imposed restrictions on interstate travel and have curfew in place at night and during weekends. While the Central government has brushed away speculations stating that the third wave is to affect children, the Union health Ministry is also clear that they don’t want to leave any stone unturned. The government is keen on rolling out vaccines for children at the earliest. 106 children below the age of 9 years and 136 children between 9 and 19 years have tested positive in the last five days in Bengaluru and the numbers are expected to rise.
