One arrested in elephant death case

Kerala Forest Minister K. Raju has stated that one person has been arrested in connection with the tragic death of a pregnant elephant when it ate a pineapple laced with explosives. The arrested man is reportedly working in a nearby farm that cultivates cash crops and spices.
The man has confessed to aiding in the commission of the offence. Both the Police and the  Forest Department are conducting an investigation into the heinous crime as they suspect more people to be involved. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan assured that necessary action would be taken to book the culprits. The Central Government has also ordered a probe into the incident which has triggered widespread outrage from the public especially over social media.
