Offered as a curated Takeaway Menu or a Dine-in option, the traditional Onam meal can be relished at Four Seasons across the three days.
One of the most important festivals celebrated in Kerala is Onam. It marks the start of the annual harvest season in the Southern parts of India and is celebrated with a bounty of home cooked dishes, with rice being at the centre of the meal. An array of these special dishes comprises the ritual of the Onam Meal or Sadhya, a traditional feast of vegetarian dishes (typically served on a fresh banana leaf).
This bouquet of flavours ranges from crisp banana chips, pachadi or a spiced curd dishes, avial, the coconut based Kerala speciality, sambhar, rasam and finished with a sweet ada pradaman made with coconut milk and jaggery along with other dessert variants. Various kinds of pickles and curries finish the spread, lending tantalising spicy notes to this celebratory meal and adding up to more than 24 different items.
