ABOUT THE EVENT:
7 million litres of beer. 6 million visitors. 2 weeks. 1 festival. Oktoberfest is the world’s largest folk festival held at Munich, Germany. A serious crowd puller, Oktoberfest is more than just eating and drinking. The colorful parades and a great variety of music make it a memorable experience.
We are proud to bring Oktoberfest to India. Keeping with the German traditions, we intend on giving authentic German food, beer and music. The ambience will transport you to Munich with the decor, ornamentation and furniture being flown down the origin country itself.
Talking about the venue, the event will be housed in a magnificent German tent by the beach at the brand new Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa. Enjoy the cool sea breeze and a cold beer at the same time.
We had the first keg opening ceremony at 5 pm with the German Consulate heads and a few socialites from the city. “Chennai born & bread living in Germany now, I’ve always wanted to bring down the authentic Oktoberfest feel to my home turf. I appreciate the response the city has given me, accepting the event. To add a piece of Germany we flew down folks from Munich who were dressed in dirndls throughout the event” – Mr. Annamalai, M.D Dolce Impex.
We want to give our attendees a German experience that they won’t forget.
To make it one cracker of a party, we had an amazing lineup of DJs to get you in the groove.
Mr. Annamalai also added in terms of future plans “ being the first of many event, we are planning a summer edition of the Oktoberfest. We also plan a city wise tour in order to give the authentic Oktoberfest feel.”
Never compromise on the beer. Serving only real German beer, courtesy of Barre, a 175-y. o brewery from Northern Germany, who are also our beverage partner serving thousands of liter’s of beer.
Additionally, we also will be introducing Louis Barre Imperial, known for its infamous beer cocktails, at the Oktoberfest in Chennai.

In order to make the event more Glocal, knowing the City’s love for music PR partners ‘Rosh & Pavi’ decided to add a more city flavored approach to the music aspect. Apart from the German band – Die Rothsees we have a set of national and international artists like – Arjun Vagale, Blank, Blot!, Bullzeye, Dualist Inquiry, Kohra, Murthovic, Shft, Shivamoon, Steve Mulder (NL), Tuhin Mehta, Ajmal, Future Culture, Goos, Pindrop, Shaz & Chaz, Small Town Guy, Stoked, Akash, Faezal Khan, Kartik Shekar, Mubeen, Sam Shroff.

Pre Party: Radio Room & Q Bar
In order to create a good reach for the main event we planned 2 Pre Party’s to cater to different crowds and a wider audience. The Radio Room event will see DJ Skip – International award winning artist perform.
Our event at Q Bar saw a lot of known faces who came to enjoy the music like Actors Jiiva, Simbu, Yashika Anand, Singer & Musician Anirudh, Socialites Tk & Lakshmi Krishnaswamy, Tania Samtani, Director Sashikant Sivaji ans many more.
