Nirmala Devi charge sheeted

Nirmala Devi an Assistant Professor who was accused of attempting to lure college girls to provide sexual favours for higher officials in return for extra marks has been charged sheeted. The Crime Branch- Criminal Investigation Department filed a preliminary charge sheet.

The charge sheet runs into 1165 pages and was filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court II. It may be recalled that the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court directed the CB-CID to file the charge sheet by July 16.
