A new clinic for breast cancer screening is on the cards. It will be inaugurated at the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital. A one stop facility for screening and diagnosing where women can come forward sans fear. The clinic’s interiors are done up in pink.
The clinic boasts of advanced equipment including a 3D digital mammogram for diagnosing lesions in the breast. The cost of setting up the clinic is nearly 4 crores. Women who are diagnosed with cancer would be referred to the oncology department of the Government Royapettah Hospital for treatment.
