A Nepalese twin engine aircraft with 22 people on board crashed on Sunday. Four Indians were on board the aircraft. It crashed in Kowang village of Mustang district after it went missing in the mountainous district on Sunday morning.
Rescue troops have physically located the plane at the crash site. On Sunday morning, the aircraft that was flying from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9.55 a.m. lost contact after reaching the Lete area of Mustang. According to the police officials, the aircraft is suspected to have crashed in the ”Titi” area of Lete in Mustang district. Locals from Titi informed the police that they heard an unusual sound like a bang.
The Nepal Home Ministry had deployed two private helicopters to search for the missing aircraft.
