Another NEET aspirant has taken her life a day before the medical entrance examination is scheduled. In Madurai, an 18-year-old girl died by suicide and leaves a long suicide note in which she has talked about fearing to fail in the exam and not getting a seat.
Jyoti Durga, daughter of sub-inspector Muruga Sundaram, killed herself after being concerned about her performance in the entrance exam. Jyoti Durga had not been able to clear the NEET exam last year and had waited for a year to try again this year.
She had a habit of sitting late at the night to prepare for her exams. While the family assumed that Jyoti Durga was preparing for her exams, she hung herself to death. Jyoti Durga’s body is sent for postmortem and an investigation into the case is now being conducted.
