Former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wife Sakshi celebrated their 12 th wedding anniversary on July 4th. The couple got married on July 4, 2010 in Dehradun. They were blessed with a babygirl- Ziva who was born on February 6, 2015.
Sakshi met Dhoni at Taj Bengal in Kolkata where the Indian team was staying. She was a hotel management student during that time. When her manager introduced her to Dhoni, he fell in love with her instantly. The movie titled MS Dhoni- The Untold Story captured the life story of Dhoni. Sakshi was often present during the Chennai Super Kings matches along with daughter Ziva. Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020. However, he continued playing for the Indian Premier League and was part of Chennai Super Kings team. He relinquished captaincy and handed the baton to Ravindra Jadeja this season of IPL but halfway through this year’s IPL, Jadeja handed back captaincy to Dhoni who confirmed that he will play for the franchise in IPL 2023 as well.
