Mollywood mourned the loss of one of its greatest scriptwriters and film makers of all time, Dennis Joseph. He was the most sought after film maker and scriptwriter during the 80s and 90s and he had many films to his credit such as No.20 Madras Mail, Manu Uncle, Akashadoothu, Shyama, Kottayam Kunjachan, FIR among many others.
Most of the his films had Mammootty or Mohanlal playing the lead and the films kept the box-office ringing during the time. He also directed five films of which ‘Manu Uncle’ which had Mammootty in the lead won him the National award. He died of a cardiac arrest on Monday, he was only 64. He passed away at a private hospital in Kottayam and is survived by wife and three children.
