Mithali becomes first woman to play 200 ODI’s

Captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Mithali Raj has become the first woman cricketer to play 200 One Day International matches thereby adding another feather to her illustrious cap. She made her debut wayback in 1999 and has featured in 200 games out of the 263 matches India has played.

Besides she also played in 10 test matches and 85 T20 matches . The 36 year old cricketer is also the highest run getter in One  Day Internationals with 6622 runs in her kitty at an average of 51. 33 which includes 7 centuries. She was a  16 year old school girl when she joined the Indian team and for her  the coveted milestone of reaching 200 matches is just a number.
