Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry raised a lot of eyeballs when they decided to step down from royal duties in January 2020 and shift base to Los Angeles. Meghan has opened up about this issue in her interview to a New York based magazine- The Cut.
She slammed the British media and their abusive press coverage and said that it affected her mental health and also her and her husband’s relationship with the Royal hierarchy. She felt that the tabloids felt free to attack them as their lives were taxpayer funded. Therefore, they decided that they no longer needed to be taxpayer funded and decided to work and make their own money. She said that forgiveness is important and that it took a lot more energy not to forgive.
