A marathon was held in the Mahindra World City. More than 8000 people participated in the seventh edition of the marathon. It was inaugurated by Chengalpattu Collector John Louis at the Paranur railway station together with Tsuyoshi Moriya, Senior Vice President of Renault Nissan Technology.
There were various categories starting from 3 kms, 5 kms, 10 kms and 21 kms. The proceeds will be used to support education of the girl child. Nanhi Kali is a project that is jointly managed by the Mahindra Education Trust and Naandi Foundation. This marathon receives overwhelming response every year.
