Many passengers on board a Delhi-Sydney Air India flight got injured after the aircraft encountered severe turbulence mid-air on May 16. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the injured passengers received medical assistance when the flight reached Sydney airport.
During the flight, seven passengers reported minor sprains and the cabin crew along with a doctor and nurse who were travelling as passengers, administered first aid to the injured passengers.using the onboard first aid kit.
As soon as the flight landed in Sydney, the airport manager there extended medical assistance to the injured but only three passengers availed of this assistance .However, no hospitalization was required for any passenger. Air India is yet to comment on this incident.
