Raj Kaushal, filmmaker and husband of Mandira Bedi passed away this morning at around 4.30 a.m. at his home after a heart attack. By the time the family could get any help, he had gone. He was in his 50’s.
Filmmaker Onir confirmed the news on social media and wrote, ”Gone too soon. We lost filmmaker and producer@rajkaushal this morning. Very sad. He was one of the producers of my first film#MyBrotherNiikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul.”
Mandira Bedi and Kaushal got married on February 14, 1999 and have a son Veer. They adopted a daughter and named her Tara in 2020.
Just two days ago, Kaushal had shared pictures of a party on his Instagram account. He was joined by wife Mandira, Zaheer Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Ashish Chowdhry.
He had his own advertising production company and went on to direct over 800 commercials.
Kaushal directed and produced films like Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi in 1999, Shaadi Ka Laddoo in 2004 and Anthony Kaun Hai starring Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt in the year 2006.
