Shankar Mishra, who urinated on an elderly woman on an Air India flight in November was traced by the police and arrested from Bengaluru. The Delhi police deployed a team in Bengaluru to catch Mishra after getting leads on his whereabouts.
Mishra was on the run and had switched off his mobile phone. However, he used his social media accounts to communicate with his friends and that is how the police got leads on him.
Even though this incident took place on November 26, 2022 on a New York-Delhi flight, Air India filed a police complaint only this week and banned Mishra from flying for 30 days. The incident triggered outrage on social media.
It is reported that Mishra was employed with American financial services company Wells Fargo. He has been dismissed from service due to this shameful incident.
