A 38 year old man from Mustur village in Kolar districts Mulbagal was arrested by the Mulbagal Forest Department Officials for biting a snake to death.
A case was registered against him. The man named Kumar was returning from a liquor shop. He picked up a rat snake from the road and hung it around his neck. He then began to drink alcohol while biting the snake. The snake died due to the injuries caused by the bites. This incident is said to have taken place in Karnataka state a day after the sale of liquor resumed in the state.
