Kerala which is just experiencing the aftermath of the floods has a dampened mood to celebrate Onam. People are slowly getting back to normal and are cleaning up their homes and surroundings and some others have to start from scratch having lost everything due to the floods.
The State Government has decided to cancel all celebrations and donate the funds towards relief work. The entire State wears a dull look. The roads are empty, shops are not doing enough business. The festive mood has gone completely and people are trying to get their lives back on track. The few customers in shops are those who go to purchase material for the relief camps.
