Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala wins multiple national awards this year
Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala won multiple awards this year in various categories for the National Tourism awards 2014-15. It won awards for Most Innovative use of Information Technology – Social Media / Mobile App, Excellence in Publishing in English, Excellence in Publishing in Foreign Language other than English, Best Responsible Tourism for Wayanad and Best Rural Tourism Project.
Turtle on the Beach, Kovalam, won the best hotel in 5 star category, Coconut Creek Farm and Homestay, Kumarakom, won the award for Incredible India Bed & Breakfast Establishments and Coconut Lagoon at Kumarakom, a part of the CGH Earth group won the Award for Best Heritage Hotel in category ‘Heritage Classic’. Lok Sabha speaker, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan presented the awards at a function held in New Delhi.
