After having tested positive earlier, he had taken the first shot of the vaccine
This is the second time in eight months that the Karnataka Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa has tested positive for Covid 19. He is undergoing treatment at the Manipal hospital. He had taken the first shot of the vaccine and was waiting to take the second dose when he developed fever. He posted the update on the social media page, “Upon having mild fever, I got tested for COVID-19 and my report has come out as positive. Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalised based on the advice of doctors. I request all those who came in contact with me recently to exercise self-quarantine.”
With the rising cases of Covid across the country, people who have taken both the doses of the vaccine are also testing positive but it has been reported that the severity and death rate is lower in people who have taken the vaccine. Even if one is vaccinated, wearing a mask, social distancing and using sanitisers are basic hygiene measures one can take to prevent the virus load.
