DMK MP Kanimozhi has been protesting against the imposition of Hindi in the State of Tamilnadu. She had tweeted an image of a Tamilnadu government bus having a Hindi signboard at the emergency exit door. She has accused the ruling AIADMK government of collaborating with the BJP government in order to impose Hindi in the State.
She brought up the issue again in the Lok Sabha. She wanted to know how a villager in Tamilnadu could understand signboards in Hindi when they didn’t even have a translation. She said that she herself did not understand it. She was clear in her demand to stop imposition of Hindi in the State. There were some people who criticized her for picking up on irrelevant issues when there were more important issues like the acute water crisis in Tamilnadu.
