DMK MP Kanimozhi visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus and met the JNU SU President Aishe Ghosh who was injured in the attack on the college.
She enquired about the order of events that took place on Sunday’s attack. She was told that the attackers targeted the students and seemed to know who stayed where and whom to attack and almost the entire topography of the university. She wanted to know why the police were silent spectators and did not enter the university to safeguard the students. It was shocking for her to note that FIRs were not filed against the attackers but instead were filed against some of the injured students. On being asked about Deepika’s visit and her movie being targeted, she said that the movie will do very well as each time a movie is targeted , it does well and she plans to watch it.
