Kamal Haasan is in talks with director Jeethu Joseph to do Papanasam 2, which is the Tamil remake of Drishyam 2. Reports suggest that Gautami may not be a part of the sequel. When director Jeethu Joseph made Papanasam, Gautami and Kamal Haasan were in a relationship. However, in 2016, the couple parted ways and since they are not on good terms, the makers are planning to find another actress in place of her in Papanasam 2. Reports suggest that Pooja Kumar is being considered to play Kamal Haasan’s wife in the film.
An official confirmation regarding Pooja Kumar replacing Gautami in Papanasam 2 is yet to be announced. Soon, the makers will finalise the rest of the cast and crew. Earlier it was speculated that Meena will be playing the role.
