John Travolta is selling his island mansion off the coast of Maine, which he shared with his late wife Kelly Preston. He has listed it for sale at 5 million dollars. The couple purchased the home after their wedding in the year 1991 and turned the very dark and sombre house into a bright family home.
The 10,830 sq ft house was built in 1903, has 20 bedrooms and sits on a 48 acre estate along the ocean. The couple purchased the house after they visited actor Kirstie Alley at her home on the same island.
Kelly Preston died at the age of 57 last year after she battled breast cancer for two years. The couple has 3 children, the eldest died at the age of 16 in 2009 after suffering a seizure at their vacation home in the Bahamas. The other two children are daughter Ella aged 20, and son Benjamin who is 10 years old.
John is a two time Oscar nominee. He recently teamed with daughter Ella for a Super Bowl advert where they paid homage to his dancing in the iconic role of Danny Zuko in the 1978 classic titled ‘Grease’.
In another ad for Scotts Miracle-Gro, Ella was seen demonstrating to her dad how to set up his phone on a tripod before breaking out into the Born to Hand Jive dance moves that John originally performed with Sandy co-star Olivia Newton John.
