A tax case filed by the Income Tax department about 10 years ago challenging an order passed in Sasikala’s favour by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal came up for hearing in the Madras High Court.
A Division Bench comprising of Justices T.S Sivagnanam and N. Seshasayee recorded a submission made by the counsel for the I T Department. Sasikala’s counsel however pleaded that his client was in prison and that he needed time to go through the judgment of the Supreme Court. The case was then adjourned to June 6th for further hearing.
