Savita Halappanavar is a victim of anti abortion law.Her parents want Ireland’s new law that legalises abortion to be named after their daughter Savita. Her unfortunate death had sparked off a debate that women should have freedom of choice regarding abortion.

Savita’s death in 2012 from a miscarriage as she was denied abortion led to calls for a change in the Irish laws.By sacrificing her life, Savita changed the minds of people not only in Ireland but throughout the world. The law now will remove restrictions on medical termination of pregnancy.
