Around 30 children of the Arunodhaya Children Sangam in Korukkupet area have set an example to society. They have collected money and handed it over to the police in order to make their locality safe. Korukkupet is an area where sale of drugs and child abuse takes place on a regular basis and a very unsafe environment prevails there.
These children in a bid to improve the situation and to make the area safe have collected money to purchase CCTV cameras for installation. They managed to collect a sum of RS 20000/ by selling scrap materials from their houses,by saving their pocket money, and by requesting family members and neighbours to contribute for this good cause. They handed over a sum of RS 9,500/ to the R.K.Nagar police to purchase and install cameras.
