Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, received a death threat on the 27th of October. A person named Shadab Khan sent him an email claiming that if he did not give him Rs 20 crore, he would kill him.
The police have registered a complaint after security officials at Ambani’s residence in Mumbai informed them of the death threat. A case was registered against an unknown person under sections 387 and 506 (2) of IPC and they have initiated their investigations.
This is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has received threats. Last year, Mumbai Police arrested a man from Bihar for making anonymous threatening calls to target Ambani and his family.
In 2021, an explosives-laden SUV was found near his residence and a businessman who was in possession of the SUV was found dead last year in a creek in Thane.
