Mala Adiga, an Indian-American has been appointed by Joe Biden to be the Policy Director for his wife Jill Biden who will become the First Lady.
Mala was earlier the senior advisor to Jill Biden and a senior policy advisor in the Biden- Kamala Harris campaign. She is a native of Illinois and graduated from the Grinnell College, the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and the University of Chicago Law School. She is a lawyer by training and she worked for a Chicago Law firm before she joined the campaign of former US President Barack Obama in the year 2008.
