The second largest multiplex operator in India Inox has signed an agreement with South Korean firm CJ 4DPLEX for bringing in the multi-projection technology ScreenX to India. The speciality with this type of screening is that the screen enhances the movie watching experience by giving viewers a 270-degree experience.
It allows the audience to go beyond the theme of the traditional movie screen, utilising a proprietary system to expand select scenes of feature films to the left and right walls on each side. The deal was signed on the sidelines of CinemaCon, world’s largest movie theatre industry expo, currently taking place in Las Vegas.
The Ceo of Inox cinemas had stated that the brand wants to ensure a great viewing experience for their patrons as it has always been their foremost priority. ScreenX will be able to offer an unprecedented 270-degree cinema-viewing experience on three walls of the theatre. This new form of storytelling would deliver the narrative in a more convincing manner, leaving the audience breathless.
