India has recorded the highest spike of Covid 19 cases and there have been 7,466 cases in a single day. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of cases has gone up to 1,65,799, out of which the active cases are 89,987.
While 71,105 people have recovered, 4,706 people have succumbed to the virus. India is currently in the ninth spot in the list of Covid 19 worst affected countries as per the John Hopkins University Tracker. India has overtaken Turkey and Iran. The United States tops this list and is closely followed by Brazil.
