His Excellency Brian McElduff, Ambassador of Ireland in India and Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Honorary Consul General of Ireland, Karnataka welcomed guests at the Prince of Wales Lawns, Taj West End for an evening of revelry under the starlit sky. Guests from the world of business, arts, sports were seeing sipping on some Irish ale along with Irish expats for the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday night.

St. Patrick’s Day occurs annually on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture. Guests stood in attention as the Indian and Irish National anthem were played, followed by cake cutting and live music by the Fernandes Fusion music band. Everyone stuck to the dress code for the evening, which was green. They was a lavish spread of Indian and Irish cuisine.
