Meet the makeup artist who dons many hats
A Fashion Designer, Stylist and Makeup Artist, all rolled into one, Suresh Menon wears many hats. He grew up watching a lot of fashion shows and glam events, so makeup and styling was always a passion and he started designing at the young age of 18. To further enhance his love for design, he wanted to get into the whole gamut of styling and makeup too. As luck would have it, he joined MAC Cosmetics as a full time makeup artist and immediately after was showered with a lot of compliments followed by a bagful of shoots and campaigns.
“In 2017 I worked with many jewellery and clothing brands, as also fashion and bridal events. Bridal makeup has always been my highpoint and I even have a store in Nungambakkam that I’m launching in January 2018,” shares Suresh who likes to incorporate and experiment with bold designs that add a vibrant yet classy touch to his work. Talking of latest makeup trends he states, “It’s about making it a statement and personalising the look. 2017 was about keeping it as natural and minimal as possible with a little pop of colour but in 2018 we will see a lot of colour, bling, shine and metallics. I can’t wait for it!”
Over the years, Suresh’s work has landed him numerous accolades like the Youngest Fashion Designer Award 2016, Rising fashion stylist-Chennai besides others. As an individual with a multi-faceted set of talents he is himself a brand to reckon with for his versatile skillsets and his astonishing touch with the brush.
