Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti directed the army, the police and all other security agencies to adopt a humane approach while dealing with militancy operations in the State.
A government spokesman said that the Chief Minister advised the security agencies to exercise maximum restraint and to ensure safety and security of people and their properties. She underlined that the need of the hour was to engage meaningfully with the people particularly the youth so that they contribute to the welfare of the society. She also reviewed the overall security scenario in the wake of rising militancy along the borders.
