Kollywood super thriller Ratsasan completed two years recently and Vishnu Vishal took to his social media page to explain why he could connect with his character in the film. Vishnu wrote, “Arun from Ratsasan is a perfect example of my life. From wanting to be a filmmaker and then joining the police force, ultimately using his knowledge about serial killers to hunt down the psycho murderer.”
He added, “In my life, I always wanted to be a cricketer. I have always felt that cricket helped me get my first break in films. I could easily learn and adapt to Kabaddi, being a sportsperson. CCL (Celebrity Cricket League) too, was helpful in earning me respect within the film fraternity and the audiences. And then, Jeeva happened. I’ve learnt to face my ups and downs and work towards bouncing back, just like a sportsperson would do. In addition to that, my MBA degree in brand management has aided me in selecting scripts. People management is a skill that I picked up being a cricket captain which helps me in being a producer as well.
In short, nothing goes waste in life. Keep working hard and put in your heart and soul. You never know what life has in store for you. Knowledge will always be your biggest strength and will always bail you out of the toughest situations. You are your best competitor. Believe.”
