Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan features popular celebs from across the industry, and thus expectations are high among the fans. An image with the list of Ponniyin Selvan character names is circulating on the internet, and fans have been quickly checking the role of their favorite stars in the historical drama. According to the list, Prakash Raj, who replaced Amitabh Bachchan, plays Sundara Chozhar, while Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, and Aishwarya Lekshmi play Aditya Karikalan, Arulmozhi Varman, Vandhiyathevan, Kundhavi, Nandhi/Mandakini, and Poonguzhali respectively.
The recent report also gives out the details about who is pairing with whom, and who is playing the antagonist in the film. Ponniyin Selvan will be released in two parts, while the first part is titled ‘PS 1’. The shooting of Ponniyin Selvan is currently underway in Pondicherry, and few pictures from the shooting recently went viral on social media. The first part will be hitting the big screens earlier in 2022. AR Rahman is scoring the music, and the film is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies.
