A headmistress of a Government School in Ezhuthur has been found guilty of discrimination of students by segregating them in batches according to their caste. Some Dalit students complained to their parents about this.
The Chief Educational Officer K.Palanisamy said that strict action would be taken against the headmistress. Sources said that the Dalit students were being harassed for a long time and were segregated, forced to sit separately and were not even allowed to use the toilets in the premises. There have been a lot of unpleasant events taking place due to this act of the headmistress.
