Harbhajan Singh announced that his contract with Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has come to an end. Harbhajan, who played for the franchise in the 2018 and 2019 seasons before pulling out of the 2020 edition, tweeted to thank CSK for “a wonderful 2 years.” He wrote, “As my contract comes to an end with @ChennaiIPL, playing for this team was a great experience..beautiful memories made &some great friends which I will remember fondly for years to come…Thank you @ChennaiIPL, management, staff, and fans for a wonderful 2years… All the best..”

Harbhajan, an off-spinner, was part of the CSK team that won the IPL title in 2018. Ahead of IPL 2021, the deadline for player retentions is January 21 and the trading window closes on February 4.
