GRT Hotels and Resorts’ takes you on a gastronomical journey that fills the soul and the stomach with our much awaited 2018 calendar titled ‘Soul Food Chronicles’.

The theme explores food from different abodes of worship and places that have stood the test of time, enriched by traditions and cultures. This year we have explored select recipes bringing home all the dishes that are close to your heart and will take your palate on a divine journey. Each page of the calendar unfolds a new story, along with one memorable recipe of a dish that embodies the spirit of the place. We have selected destinations across South India where we have a hotel in close proximity to these abodes of worship.

Our culinary teams and Chefs have researched on all the 12 unique soul food recipes and come up with delicious tales about the places, monuments, deities, and food that will make your upcoming months in 2018 truly divine.

The calendar was launched at the group’s signature ‘White Brunch’ hosted at the Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels. White themed, the brunch also showcased the 12-unique soul food featured in this year’s calendar. The event saw an array of Celebrities, socialites, food enthusiasts, members from the expat community, bureaucrats, corporate leaders and others who enjoyed the delectable cuisine, music and entertainment. To name a few of them present were The Belgian Consul General for South India, Mr. Mark Van de Vreken, Hon Consul for El Salvador Dr Yashwanth, Hon Consul for Spain Mr Tony Lobo, Fashion designers Vivek Karunakaran, Chaitanya Rao, Actors Aishwarya Rajesh, Ganesh Venkataraman, Nisha, Shanthanu, Kiki Vijay, Sonia Agarwal, Fashion Photographer G Venkatram, Dewan Prince of Arcot Mr Asif Ali.
