Suchetha Satish, a girl who hails from Kerala has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for her musical feat. The 16 year old sang 120 songs in 120 languages and it took her 7 hours and 20 minutes to achieve this feat.
The songs she sung were in 29 Indian languages and 91 world languages. Suchetha began this feat with a rendition of a Sanskrit song ‘Janaki Jane’ from Dhwani, a Malayalam film. She concluded with a Hindi song written by her mother Sumitha and composed by Monty Sharma, a Bollywood composer.
This programme took place at the Indian Consulate Auditorium in Dubai. It formed part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of India’s Independence and the 50th anniversary of the formation of the UAE.
Both Suchetha’s parents hail from Kannur. Her father T.C Satish is a dermatologist at Unicare Medical Centre at Dubai.
Suchetha is a Plus One student of Indian High School, Dubai. She started learning music at the tender age of 3.
