German Footballer Thomas Muller shared a photo of himself in the Indian team jersey and wished good luck to the participants of ICC Cricket World Cup, currently underway in England and Wales. In his post, Muller made special mention of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and extended good luck to Team India. Kohli has in the past expressed his support for the German football team.
A keen follower of the Football, Kohli was also recently pictured with England footballer Harry Kane. In 2016, Kohli had extended his good wishes to the German team prior to their Euro Cup campaign. Kohli-led India is slated to kick off their World Cup campaign against South Africa on Wednesday. South Africa have had a stuttering start to their World Cup campaign with two defeats in two matches and are looking to get back on track when they take on India.
Kohli was part of India’s World Cup winning team in 2011. He, however, struggled with the bat in the 2015 World Cup in Australia-New Zealand. India lost to Australia in the semi-finals. This is the first World Cup in which Virat Kohli is leading the side. The team’s star batsmen have been tipped to be one of the leading run-scorers in the tournament
I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He`s a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past ?✊? #Cricket #GermanyCheersForIndia #esmuellert pic.twitter.com/hwS4apAlIE
